Yolanda King, Martin Luther King’s oldest child, has died at age 51
Yolanda King, the eldest child of Dr. Martin Luther King, has died at the age of 51. This comes just over a year after the death of her mother Coretta Scott King. According to the associated press the family believes Ms. King's death was related to a heart problem.
Yolanda is credited as a producer, speaker, and actor; having appeared in the 1978 miniseries "King" where she played Rosa Parks. She also appeared in "Ghosts of Mississippi."
Yolanda King is survived by her remaining siblings; her sister the Rev. Bernice A. King and brothers Martin Luther King III and Dexter Scott King. It is still hard to believe that Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King have no grandchildren.
