WESTMORELAND HEIGHTS COMMUNITY CENTER CELEBRATES 1ST ANNIVERSARY
Through the hard work and dedication of a people who wanted more for their community, a neighborhood staple was born. The Westmoreland Heights Neighborhood Association, their President Pat Stephens, former city councilman Ed Oakley and many others have created a place in West Dallas where residents are able to come together.
On Saturday October 20, The Westmoreland Heights Community Center will celebrate it's one year anniversary. The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. and last until 2 o'clock. Care Improvement Plus will also hold a Senior Health Fair at the same time.
Since it was opened last year, the Community Center has hosted numerous neighborhood meetings and receptions. The center is also home of Lake West Evangelistic Community Church, which is lead by Pastor Susan Stephens.
The Westmoreland Heights Community Center is located at 3739 Homeland Street in Dallas. Pat Stephens invites citizens of Dallas, particularly seniors, to come out and help to celebrate their special occasion.
