ExxonMobil Green Team Dallas youth program provides paid internships for high school students
This summer, Dallas area youth have the opportunity to participate in a paid summer internship with ExxonMobil. Students who are selected for this program can earn approx $2,000, for 8 weeks.
According to the Exxon/Mobil website, the Dallas portion of this effort will allow up to 60 high school juniors and seniors to participate in the eight-week program as ExxonMobil Green Team Ambassadors. Students will be placed in teams of three to five and work with local nonprofit organizations to promote environmental awareness or develop environmentally-focused projects.
The website also states that students will take various courses at Southern Methodist University and participate in weekly reflection activities and educational field trips. In 2009, the eight-week internship will take place from June 5 to July 31.
ExxonMobil Green Team Ambassadors must be:
· A U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the United States (student visa).
· Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a high school located in Dallas County.
· Available to participate in the eight-week program (Monday – Friday).
· Responsible for transportation to and from internship site.
· Interested in learning about issues affecting the environment.
