TeCo Theater Receives Financial Excellence Award
The City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs and Stanford Group Company have announced the inaugural recipients of the Stanford Financial Excellence in the Arts Award. A total of $45,000 in unrestricted grants to Dallas-area arts groups were awarded on September 5, 2007 at a reception held at the Latino Cultural Center.
The award was created to recognize and reward local arts organizations that demonstrate exemplary fiscal management responsibility of their resources. Only three grants were awarded to small, medium and large arts groups, based on the size of the organization's operational budgets.
TeCo Theatrical Productions, Inc. was the recipient of a $10,000 grant and the coveted physical award commissioned by glass artist, Diana Chase. The Sammons Center for the Arts and the Museum of Nature and Science were also award recipients.
Other finalists included: Fine Arts Chamber Players, USA Film Festival, Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, Dallas Children's Chorus, Big Thought and the Dallas Museum of Art.
