Old School Friday: First Date/Love Song

Well the Marvalus One decided to slow it down this week, going with an Old School Friday theme of First Date/Love Song.  So I go back to the days of puppy love, breathing on the phone saying nothing, and 3 month relationships.  The song that always comes to mind when I think of those days is Janet Jackson’s “Let’s Wait a While.”

Even with the cheezy keyboard riffs the song has a darkness that sticks with me.   Maybe it’s the black and white video, I don’t know.  And you can’t go wrong with Taimak right?

And then there’s Lenny Williams’ “Cause I Love You.”  No need for words.
