Ron Washington’s Rangers Stay Hot Heading into the Break

The Texas Rangers continued their winning ways with a 2-1 won over the Baltimore Orioles Sunday afternoon. The Rangers have won 6 of their last seven series, tying the Red Sox 2-2 in the other one.  The Rangers are 15-8 in their last 23 games before the All-Star Break.

Kenny Loftin hit a home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie.   Kevin Millwood got his 6th win and Eric Gagne his 12th save in the victory.  

Besides Loftin's home run, anther key to the win was Frankie Francisco.  The reliever threw one pitch in the top of the 8th that led to an inning ending double play.  Gagne came in to close it out in the 9th.
