Aron Ranen’s Black Hair Documentary Part One

Today I was listening to “The Bad Boy of Radio”, Michael Baisden and his guest was Aron Ranen. Mr. Ranen was talking to Michael about his documentary “Black Hair: The Korean Takeover.”

In the interview Mr. Ranen talked about how dominant the Korean community has become in the area of Black Hair Care. Koreans own nearly all the stores as well as the major distribution channels.

This is not necessarily new ground, but I think the way that Ranen presents just how deeply entrenched the Koreans are, and the consumer mentality that is so dominant in the black community is what makes his effort so compelling.
