Super Delegates’ importance grows, Obama trails Clinton among Democratic elite
Hillary Clinton has about a 2 to 1 advantage in Super Delegates in the Democratic Primary. Super Delegates are leaders of the Democratic Party who will cast a vote at the 2008 convention in Denver.
The 842 unpledged “super-delegates” comprise nearly 40 percent of the number of delegates needed to clinch the Democratic nomination. Doesn’t sound very Democratic to me.
Here is a list of who qualifies as a Super Delegate according to SuperDelegates.org
- Former Presidents and Vice Presidents
- DNC Members
