5 years later – Still More questions than answers in Iraq War
According to CBS News, 29 percent of Americans say the results of the war were worth it
Our nation just recognized the 5th Anniversary of the War in Iraq. Five years later and there are still more questions than answers.
When will it end? How many more American and Iraqi lives will be lost? When will our troops come home? Was it worth it? Why did we go over there in the first place?
According to CBS News, 29 percent of Americans say the results of the war were worth it; 64 percent say they were not (March 18). What’s not in question are the hearts of the men and women in uniform who lay their lives on the line everyday in the name of an unjust war.
There are 3,988 question marks below representing the men and women of the U.S. Millitary who have lost their lives (as of March 16) since the war began 5 years ago. Let’s also not forget the 29,314 servicemen and women who have been injured (as of March 1 Iraq Coalition Casualties). May God Bless the men and women of the U.S. Military and the families of those deployed. May He also bless the families of those who have lost loved ones in the conflict.
