First U.S. Airways photo from Janis Krums posted to Twitter
I’ve been tracking U.S. Airways for the last hour after it crashed into the Hudson River. By all accounts the pilot did a masterful job after the plane hit a flock of birds.
Miraculously there seems to be no loss of life from this crash. The Coast Guard and ferries in the area rushed to the scene and loaded passengers and took them to safety. Four people have been reportedly treated for hypothermia as a result of the frigid waters of the Hudson.
The photo above was taken by citizen journalist Janis Krums from Sarasota, Florida who posted it to his Twitter page. God Bless social media tools. And thank God that everyone seems to have gotten off that plane safely.
