Old School Friday: Favorite TV Show Themes

Thursday nights back in the day were all about NBC. Different World, The Keaton’s (Family Ties) Cheers, eventually Seinfeld, I loved them all. But of course the king of the roost was The Cosby Show.

The season premier of Cosby became like a Michael Jackson video debut once they started changing up the intro each year. This Caribbean ballet production was my favorite of all.

Also on Thursday night was Night Court and the enigmatic Judge Harry Stone. The characters were typical 80’s sitcom fare: the oversexed DA, wise cracking sister, the tall dumb oaf. Night Court had a memorable theme that ranks up there for me so I’m listing it as my second choice.
